SBT - 12 Operational Storage Facility, NAB, Coronado, CA
Project Description
Naval Special Warfare Group Four (NSWG-4). Multi-story operational storage facility; w/ associated utilities, fire protection, local area
network (NIPR & SIPR), Hvac/humidity control. Open storage areas, secure storage rooms for each detachment, showers & restrooms, a
duty watch station, bunk room, & laundry areas. Mission Statement: Provide a state of the art, highly functional & durable facility for the
war-fighters to store, stage & maintain gear during training rotations at Naval Amphibious Base, Coronado, CA.
HVAC components shall be made to endure maximum durability to a salt-spray environment. Control of humidity will be highest priority
for the HVAC system & all interior surfaces are to be selected to fight the formation of mold.
Sustainable Design: Project had to meet LEEDŽ Silver requirements -
Certified LEEDŽ Gold
Special Design Challenges: Exceed CA Energy Performance Standard Title 24 2005 by 30%.

HVAC Engineering, Inc. was responsible for the engineering and design of mechanical and plumbing systems for this LEEDŽ Gold
Certified Building. HVAC Engineering, Inc was also responsible for the Commissioning of all systems. The methodologies used are those
that meet the UFC Whole Building Design Guide.

MCAS Miramar Golf Course Clubhouse & SNCO Club, Miramar, CA
HVAC Engineering, Inc. served as the Mechanical Engineers for $6.6M Design Build Golf Clubhouse Complex at Marine Corps Air
Station, Miramar, CA. The project included the demolition of the existing clubhouse to accommodate the new 16,500 square-foot
clubhouse, which includes a full-service dining facility, Senior Non-Commissioned Officers (SNCO) Clubhouse, an outdoor dining
terrace, pro shop and pavilion complex for catering, weddings, and other events. New site utilities were installed, including sewer, gas,
and domestic and fire water and new electrical utilities were also installed for transformers and communication.

C-17 Two Bay Hanger, CA
This is a design build, LEEDŽ project for construction of C-17 Two Bay Hanger utilities & roads & design/build construction of the South
Gate facilities. For this Design Build project HVAC Engineering, Inc. is providing labor, drawings, skill and instrumentalities, site
construction observations, and is to perform all the design for that portion of the mechanical & plumbing work.
